Lentils
According to the statistics of
the Birgunj Customs Office,
Nepal imported legumes
worth nearly Rs. 5 billion in
the first 11 months of the
fiscal year 2016-2017. The
customs statistics showed
that Nepal imported 16,800
tonnes of lentils worth Rs.
1.31 billion. Nepal is also
the world’s fifth largest
producer of lentils.
