Ginger
Ginger is the major cash
crops produced in the mid-
hills region of Nepal. The
topographical nature of
Nepal makes ginger farming
conducive. In the last fiscal
year, 21,869 hectares of land
yielded a total of 246,630

metric tons of ginger.
According to the Ministry of
Agricultural Development,
Nepal exports around 60
percent of the ginger with India
accounting for 90 percent.
